If the laser cutting machine is not used for a long time, as long as the cooling water has entered the area, especially the cooling water in the laser cavity and pipeline, it must be thoroughly drained.
It is recommended to turn on the laser cutting machine in use 24 hours a day to ensure internal circulation of cooling water.
Attention: The function of antifreeze is to assist in antifreeze, and it cannot be used for heating or insulation. In areas with low temperatures, attention should be paid to equipment protection to avoid unnecessary losses.
1: Why does the winter laser cutting machine add antifreeze instead of water
92% to 98% of the components in antifreeze are ethylene glycol (ethylene glycol and ethanol are two completely different components). Currently, more than 95% of water-based antifreeze solutions using ethylene glycol are used domestically and internationally. Compared with tap water, ethylene glycol is more prominent in terms of antifreeze, and water cannot prevent it from freezing. Secondly, ethylene glycol has a high boiling point, low volatility, moderate viscosity, and little temperature variation, resulting in good thermal stability. Therefore, ethylene glycol type antifreeze is an ideal coolant.
2: Can antifreeze be mixed with water?
Antifreeze solution needs to be diluted before use, and deionized water can be added for dilution. The freezing point varies depending on the concentration. During the preparation process, the actual temperature should be taken into account to meet the requirements of frost resistance and economy
3: Can car antifreeze be used?
Because the two antifreeze functions target different liquids, laser cutting machines and automotive antifreeze are also different. Automotive antifreeze is a directly prepared mixture, and its components are also complex compared to cutting machine antifreeze. The antifreeze required for laser cutting machines requires the use of deionized water to mix according to the local temperature. Direct use of automotive antifreeze can cause certain damage to the equipment.
