1. prepare before starting

2.Boot operation
Turn on the water cooling system

After the water cooler is started, observe whether the display of water temperature, water pressure and other parameters is normal. After the CNC system is started, initialization operations are performed, including a return to zero operation (return each axis to the mechanical origin). 3.Cutting parameters set
Import cutting pattern
Through the operation interface of the CNC system, the pre-designed cutting graphics file can be imported. Graphics file formats are generally.DXF,.PLT and other common formats. For example, if the cutting pattern is designed with CAD software, after saving it in a suitable format, it can be imported in the CNC system of the cutting machine.
Set cutting parameters
According to the type of cutting material (such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, etc.) and thickness, set the appropriate laser power. For thinner materials, the power can be relatively low; For thick materials, higher power is required. For example, cutting 3mm thick carbon steel, the laser power can be set at about 1000-1500W.
Set the cutting speed, which is related to material and power. Too fast speed may lead to impenetrable cutting, and too slow speed will affect production efficiency. Generally, when cutting 3mm carbon steel, the cutting speed can be between 30-50mm /s.
Determine the type and pressure of the auxiliary gas. Cutting carbon steel often uses oxygen as an auxiliary gas to improve cutting quality and speed; When cutting materials such as stainless steel and aluminum alloys, nitrogen is commonly used to prevent oxidation. The air pressure of the auxiliary gas should be properly adjusted according to the cutting material and power.
Set the focus position, the focus position directly affects the cutting quality. For different thicknesses of materials, the focus position is different. The best focus position can be determined by means of trial cutting, and in general, the focus position should be located on or slightly below the surface of the material.
4. the cutting operation
Locating job
The workpiece to be cut is placed on the cutting platform, and the cutting head is moved through the manual operation function of the CNC system to align the cutting head with the starting cutting position of the workpiece. The positioning device of the machine tool (such as positioning pin, positioning block, etc.) can be used to accurately fix the position of the workpiece and ensure the cutting accuracy.
Start cutting
After confirming that the cutting parameters are set correctly and the workpiece is positioned accurately, the cutting program is started through the operation interface of the CNC system. During the cutting process, observe whether the motion track of the cutting head is normal and whether the cutting spark is uniform. If the jitter of the cutting head or abnormal spark is found, the cutting parameters may be inappropriate or the device is faulty. Stop cutting and check.
At the same time, pay attention to the supply of auxiliary gas to ensure that the gas continues to spray steadily to assist the cutting process.
5. Operation after cutting is completed
Close cutting program
When the cutting task is completed, the cutting program is closed in the operation interface of the CNC system, and the movement of the cutting head is stopped.
Shut off laser
Power off the laser correctly according to the laser operating manual. In the closing process, pay attention to the cooling process of the laser, some lasers need to be cooled for a period of time before they can be completely powered off to protect the optical components inside the laser.
Shut down the water cooling system and the numerical control system
First turn off the power supply of the water cooling machine to stop the water cooling cycle. Then turn off the power of the CNC system.
Clearing work area
Remove the cut workpiece and clean the scrap and residue on the cutting platform. Clean the cutting head and check the appearance of the equipment to see if there is any place that needs maintenance. If any problem is found, record and arrange maintenance in time.
