Laser generator
This is the core component, and as mentioned earlier, different types of laser generators have different performance characteristics. CO₂ laser in the early application of more, suitable for cutting thicker non-metallic materials; Fiber lasers play an important role in modern metal processing because they can produce high power and high quality laser beams.
Cutting head
Includes an optical focusing system for accurately focusing laser beams. The design of the cutting head has a great impact on the cutting quality and accuracy, and some advanced cutting heads also have automatic focus function, which can adjust the focus position in real time according to the thickness of the cutting material and the requirements of the cutting process to ensure the consistency of the cutting effect.
Motion control system
Control the movement of the cutting head in the X, Y, Z axis direction. It is usually composed of a servo motor, ball screw, linear guide rail and other precision transmission mechanism to ensure that the cutting head can move accurately according to the preset cutting path. The precision of motion control system determines the precision of cutting, and the high-precision motion control system can realize the precise cutting of complex graphics.
Work platform
This is where the material to be cut is placed. The single-platform laser cutting machine has only one working platform, and its material and structural design needs to take into account the bearing capacity and stability. For example, for large sheet metal cutting, the work platform may be made of high-strength steel, and there is a reasonable support structure to prevent the deformation of the platform due to the weight and cutting force of the material during the cutting process, affecting the cutting accuracy.
Auxiliary gas system
Including gas source, gas pipeline, gas regulating valve and nozzle, etc. Different cutting materials and processes require the selection of different auxiliary gases. For example, when cutting stainless steel, nitrogen is usually used as an auxiliary gas to obtain a smooth cutting surface and prevent oxidation of the material; When cutting carbon steel, the use of oxygen can accelerate the cutting process, but the cutting surface may have a certain degree of oxidation.
Cooling system
Because the laser generator will generate a lot of heat during the working process, a cooling system is needed to ensure its normal operation. Common cooling methods are air cooling and water cooling. For high-power laser generators, water cooling systems are generally used, and the heat generated by the laser generator is taken away by circulating cooling water to maintain its stable operating temperature.
